Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè (/ˈvɘvè/ /va/ [fuzzy] [family (children and parents); family (related by blood)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Bèmîgêthaki Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè was founded by Garêyeshe Trëmê Trèqtco, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè receives an average of 218 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2912 m (9553 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1424, by Garêyeshe Trëmê Trèqtco. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow packed earth streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Unfortuantly, these peasent-grade are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A quick look in any direction shows Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this town live.

Civic Infrastructure

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè's parks.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has an Arts Academy which provides higher education in many fields including math, language arts, philosophy, engineering, and other such disciplines.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè.

Mêvlêv-va Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves ritual combat to channel Abjuration energies of tier 1 via guttural bellowing.
